About Us

St Mary, Newmarket is an historic town centre church with strong links to the town and to the horse racing community. It stands on the site of a thirteenth century Chapel of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

We worship in the Anglo-Catholic tradition and our main service is the 9.45 am Sung Mass on Sundays with other services and activities throughout the week.

St Mary’s PCC has passed a Resolution under the House of Bishops’ Declaration and the parish is under the pastoral and sacramental care of the Bishop of Richborough.

We are also affiliated to The Society under the patronage of Saint Wilfrid and Saint Hilda and to Forward in Faith.
