Altar Servers

Our team of altar servers at St Mary, Newmarket play a key role in supporting the priest during the Sunday Parish Mass and for other Festivals, Holy Days and services.

The team is affiliated to the Guild of Servants of the Sanctuary which “seeks to deepen the spiritual life of its members and to help them to become more worthy of their high office” (from the Guild Facebook page) and our members regularly attend meetings of the local St Etheldreda Chapter.

New members (men, women, children, young people) are welcome to join our team at any time – no experience necessary. To find out more, either speak to one of our serving team after a service or contact us by email.
